East Zion Mountain Bike Trails

One Chance To Get It Right

With the construction of the new Zion National Park Discovery Center on the park’s eastern border, Zion Forever Project is working with the National Park Service and other stakeholders to envision the future of the visitor experience. This includes more than 45 miles of new mountain bike trails.

A Phased Approach

With Phase I and II construction complete, fundraising for the next 12 miles of mountain bike trails in Phase III is underway. These new trails will ensure a connection between the larger trail system and the new Zion National Park Discovery Center. In addition to offering terrain for riders of all skill levels, these trails will also feature accessibility for adaptive bikes. In total, Phase III will complete 46.5 miles of new mountain bike trails.

More Than Trails

The Zion National Park Discovery Center is more than just a recreation area for visitors. The new campus will host education programs and be a touchstone for visitors entering the park’s east gates by providing permitting, ranger information, and alternative-fueled shuttles to transport visitors into the National Park and throughout the region.

Be A Part of The Park

Zion Forever Project is actively fundraising for $60,000 to construct Phase III trails. This finish-line funding will unlock $200,000 of support from the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation. As of July 2023, Phase I and II are complete and open to the public. These trails increase recreational opportunities throughout the county and serve to connect communities through active outdoor recreation.
